WP4 aims to improve our taxonomy of different forms of discrimination by combining standard philosophical tools with empirical tests. WP4 critically examines two distinctions - the distinctions between direct and indirect and structural and non-structural discrimination - and explores whether they are mutually exclusive and exhaustive. Through standard philosophical tools and empirical studies of how folks respond to different proposals regarding conceptual revision, WP4 seeks to refine the standard taxonomy of discrimination. WP4 builds on and deepens insights published in Cosette-Lefebvre and Lippert-Rasmussen (2025), Lippert-Rasmussen (2025) and Cosette-Lefebvre (2026) and other yet to be published work.
