This research theme charts citizens’ main objections to discrimination empirically and explore the implications of, and relations between, these objections philosophically. This will significantly increase both our philosophical and empirical understanding of what (in the eyes of folks) makes discrimination wrong. To answer this question, we need a prior understanding of what discrimination is, and an answer to RQ2 thus depends on how we answer RQ1.
