Billund airport (BLL)

The workshop will organize a shuttle pickup from Billund Airport departing from the airport no later than 12:00 pm on October 21 (expected arrival at Sandbjerg manor 13:40) and return shuttle in the afternoon on October 23 (Expected departure from Sandbjerg at 15:00 arrival at BLL at 16:40).

Alternatively, public buses connect Billund Airport and Sønderborg Bus terminal (located next to the train station) with departures every 2 hours until 8 pm. Catch Express Bus 43 to Vejle Bus Station and from there catch X-Bus 900 to Sønderborg. Total travel time 3 h. Find Bus departures.

• By air: The airline company Alsie Express offers several flights per day connecting Copenhagen airport and Sonderborg airport. Please note that you cannot necessarily search for international flight connections to Sonderborg Airport on Momondo; instead you can make a separate search for the connection: Copenhagen Airport (CPH) – Sonderborg (SGD) or book the whole trip directly through the airline company SAS.
• By train: Frequent train departures connect Copenhagen Airport and Copenhagen Central (Train) Station. From Copenhagen Central Station direct trains connect to Sønderborg with departures every 2^nd hour between 6 am and 8 pm. Tickets can be bought online in advance or at the station. The train ride takes approximately 3.5 h. Find Train departures and online tickets.

From Sonderborg Airport (SGD) there is a 15 minutes drive to the venue. You have to options:

• By Flextur: is an open transport scheme, offering door-to-door service.

• By Taxi: You find taxis in front of the terminal. If not, you can order one from "Sønderborg Taxa", using the telephone by the Airport entrance. The number is: +45 74 42 18 18 - it’s free to call.

Frequent train departures connect Hamburg Airport and Hamburg Central Train Station.

• By Train. Trains from Hamburg Central Station connect to Sønderborg via the Danish town Tinglev (Direction Aarhus). In Tinglev change to a train bound for Sønderborg. Alternatively, trains from Hamburg connect to Sønderborg via the German City Flensburg and the Danish city Tinglev. In Hamburg catch a train direction Flensburg. In Flensburg catch a train direction Fredericia and get off in Tinglev. In Tinglev catch a train direction Sønderborg. In either case total travel time is approximately 4.5 h. Tickets can be bought online in advance or at Hamburg Central Station.
