Introducing Xihe Ouyang
Visiting PhD
Xihe Ouyang is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Calgary, Canada. His research focuses on egalitarianism and humanity’s future.
Xihe is visiting CEPDISC from January to June 15. During his stay, he will be working on three papers. The first explores a plausible way of combining relational egalitarianism and luck egalitarianism. The second examines what relational views, especially relational egalitarianism, can contribute to debates on intergenerational justice involving non-overlapping generations. The third applies egalitarian theory to an important future context, namely technological unemployment, where most work is performed by machines rather than humans.
Welcome Xihe!
