Introduktion af Andrew Mason
Andy Mason is Professor of Political Theory in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick, UK. At the moment, he has two main sets of research interests. Firstly, an interest in the nature and value of integration, and the role that it plays in promoting equality of opportunity and social cohesion. Secondly, an interest in how we should assess, from a moral point of view, the advantages and disadvantages that people experience as a result of their appearance.
Whilst he is in Aarhus, he will be working on a book manuscript related to this second set of interests, provisionally entitled What's Wrong with Lookism? Appearance, Discrimination, and Disadvantage, preparing what he hopes will be the final draft of it for publication.
