Astrid is a PhD student at CEPDISC working on discrimination in psychiatry. She is particularly interested in the various ways that stereotyping and gender bias impact and are reproduced by psychiatric research and practice. More specifically, her PhD project examines the occurrence of epistemic injustice related to borderline personality disorder within mental health services. Her supervisors are Kasper Lippert-Rasmussen and Lars Thorup Larsen.

Prior to joining the centre, Astrid completed a BA in philosophy at King’s College London and an MPhil in History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine at the University of Cambridge. In addition to philosophy of psychiatry and epistemic injustice, her areas of interest include feminist philosophy of science, philosophy of medicine, philosophy of gender and political philosophy.
