The objective of King Frederik Center for Public Leadership is to conduct international research at the frontier of knowledge to be applied in and by public organizations. Through research and by educating the public sector leaders of tomorrow, the center’s researchers aim to improve the public sector for the benefit of citizens and society.

The interdisciplinary center is anchored at the Department of Political Science, which is already home to a world-class research environment in the field of public administration. King Frederik also completed his Master’s degree at the department. 

In addition to lending his name and reputation to the center, the then King inaugurated the center on 23 May 2018 to mark his 50th birthday.

Proclamation leads to new name for research center

King Frederik Center for Public Leadership is the new name of a six-year-old research center at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University.

Today, the Crown Prince Frederik Center for Public Leadership is changing its name to the King Frederik Center for Public Leadership. This is due to the change of sovereign in Denmark on 14 January this year. Read more here...
