Democratic Stability in an Age of Crisis
Jørgen Møller and Svend-Erik Skaaning have written the book “Democratic Stability in an Age of Crisis - Reassessing the Interwar period” together with Agnes Cornell. The book has just been published by Oxford University Press.
This is the first book to systematically analyse and compare all countries that were democratic in the interwar period between the two world wars.
The book examines why some interwar democracies broke down whereas others survived.
The book sheds new light on a topic question of our own time, namely the extent to which present-day democracies are fragile in the face of crisis.
