The objectives of the Department of Political Science are to conduct research and offer degree programmes at the highest international level in support of the mission and vision of Aarhus BSS. 

The Department of Political Science aims to:

• strengthen our education through research-based teaching of high quality with a focus on labour market relevance and independent acquisition of social science knowledge and methods.
• strengthen the quality of our research and increase its impact on the academic world and the broader society.
• enhance diversity in recruitment and create good working conditions for our employees in order to support creative and free research to the benefit of present and future societies.
• enhance the scope and quality of our collaboration with national and international stakeholders to ensure that our education, research, and outreach to society remain relevant and adaptable.
