Torsdag 6. marts 2014,  kl. 09:30 - 16:00

Horizon 2020 has a strong focus on gender in its calls for proposals. Gender and gender equality are addressed in two ways:

  • the gender dimension is explicitly integrated in several topics across Horizon 2020 work programmes
  • a balanced participation of women and men are encouraged in research teams.

Gender issues integrated in Horizon topics

Several of the topics within all areas of the new Horizon 2020 call specifically address gender and applicants are asked to describe how sex and/or gender analysis is taken into account in the project’s content. In addition, gender balance among personnel named in the proposals will be one of the prioritizing parameters in evaluating incoming proposals.

To assist potential applicants to Horizon 2020 in addressing these issues The Danish Agency for Science, Innovation and Education (DASTI) are inviting research institutions and private companies to a conference on gender equality in Horizon 2020. Speakers from the EU Commission and national and international experts on gender will share their knowledge on why and how a gender perspective is relevant in for instance climate and energy research and how to ensure gender balance in research teams.

Conference programme

The setup of the conference will include keynotes and workshops on specific themes related to Horizon 2020, including climate, energy, transport, health among others. We hope you will join us in this event to learn more, share your experience and network to enhance knowledge of how best to tackle the gender dimension in Horizon 2020.
