The Danish Council for Independent Research invites applications for a new research mobility program – MOBILEX

The Danish Council for Independent Research opens a new mobility program aimed at researchers in the beginning of their research career

The Danish Council for Independent Research (DFF) has decided to offer a mobility program with the aim of consolidating the careers of younger researchers in Denmark and abroad. The program is named MOBILEX and is launched with financial support from the 7th Framework Program for Research of the EU.

MOBILEX mobility grants will support interest-driven, researcher-initiated research projects. The program will offer 26 mobility grants annually in each of the years 2013-2015, or 78 grants in total. The 26 annual grants are divided into 15 outgoing and 11 incoming mobility grants. MOBILEX outgoing grants cover projects initiated by researchers in Denmark who wish to conduct a research project at a research institution outside Denmark. MOBILEX incoming grants cover projects by researchers based outside Denmark who wish to conduct a research project at a research institution in Denmark. Each MOBILEX grant will amount to maximum 2.5 million DKK, or 335,000 €, inclusive of overhead contributions and operation costs.

Applicants for MOBILEX grants must fulfill two conditions:

  • The applicant must have obtained a PhD-degree by the deadline of applications
  • The applicant must not, within the last 3 years before the application deadline, have stayed for more than a total of 12 months in the country of the hosting institution.

Please note that application deadlines follow the Spring deadlines of The Danish Council for Independent Research.
