Redesigning, Redefining Work Research Project and Summit at Stanford University

Convened by Stanford University’s prestigious Clayman Institute for Gender Research, the Redesigning, Redefining Work (RRW) Project and Summit bring together top academic researchers, corporate leaders, policy makers, and media representatives to set a research-based agenda for redesigning work

The RRW Project and Summit has two phases:

  • Phase One: Working Group (2011-2013) – Thirty leading academic researchers and industry practitioners meet three times at Stanford University to establish why workplace progress has stalled and identify what this research-industry partnership can do for workplace redesign.
  • Phase Two: Summit (November 7-8, 2013) – One hundred and twenty researchers, corporate leaders, policy makers and media representatives will convene in an invitation-only summit at Stanford University to present new and innovative research and generate dialog among diverse perspectives to create a new platform for the design and definition of work for the twenty-first century.

The RRW Project and Summit address the need for research to support efforts to restructure workplaces so that they are more effectively aligned with the lives of today’s workforce and organizations are better able to harness diverse talent for their future success.
