WORKSHOP: “Diversity Management in a Transitional Time”

The Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy organises a workshop on diversity management in the frame of the FP7 project STAGES – Structural Transformation to Achieve Gender Equality in Science, funded by the European Union.

The main objective of the STAGES project is to launch structural change strategies addressing the problem of gender inequality in science through implementation of self-tailored actions plans in five European universities and research institutions: Aarhus University, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, University of Milan, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University and Radboud University Nijmegen. The Italian Department for Equal Opportunities is co-funding and coordinating the project.

The workshop focuses on the possibilities and challenges of gender diversity management as a key to overcome structural barriers in achieving gender equality and improving the research capacity during periods of reorganisation and institutional change.

  • Helene Füger, Head of Equal Opportunities & Coordinator of Eument-net, Fribourg University, Switzerland
  • Louise Gade, Deputy Director of Human Resources, Aarhus University
