About GER - Facts and visions

GER is an online resource site developed by the Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy as part of the EU FP7 financed research project "Structural Transformation to Achieve Gender Equality in Science (STAGES)".

The main objective of STAGES is to launch structural change strategies addressing the problem of gender inequality within the field of academic research and to create the basis for more inclusive and diverse research environments at Aarhus University. In order to achieve this objective, a number of structural changes have been initiated at Aarhus University. Amongst others, these include:

  • initiatives to promote the visibility of female role models
  • communication of women's excellence in science
  • initiatives to raise awareness about gender stereotypes
  • initiatives to provide career advice and training for early-career women researchers
  • initiatives to disseminate information about available career opportunities at Aarhus University

Further information about the STAGES project can be found via the 'STAGES activities' link in the left menu. One of the main purposes of the GER website will be to communicate these activities to a wider audience of university staff and stakeholders.
