Tools for Change - New Website Focusing on Gender Bias in Academia

The website reviews research over the past two decades about what works and what does not in creating a workplace which does not push out women out of the pipeline. Overall the project aims to boost retention of women academia.

Behind the project are Mary Ann Mason, UC Berkeley and Joan C. Williams, UC Hastings - both have engaged in more than 20 years of original research to determine when and why women drop out of the pipeline and to develop tools to help universities retain women scientists.

The website features a series of short visual presentations aimed at a variety of audiences for use in different settings.
