Profile

I study political opinion formation i.e. how citizens form opinions on political issues and proposals.

In my research, I examine the extent to which facts matter to the way citizens form opinions on political issues in the real world. More specifically, I am interested in whether citizens are capable and willing to learn key facts about politics (e.g. policy informaiton and the behavior of political elites) and use this information they learn to change their opinions.

Teaching activities

I have taught several courses and seminars on political representation and behavior both at the BA and MA of Political Science. This has spanned from generel introduction courses to Political Science, foundational theories on inputs and demands to the political system, and more research based teaching regarding political attitudes, (mis)perceptions in relation to factual (mis)information.
