As a researcher at the National Centre for Register-based Research, I am interested in psychiatric epidemiology and in particular eating disorders. My research focuses on identifying environmental and genetic risk factors, examining comorbidity, analyzing treatment patterns, and assessing the consequences of eating disorders. I have a backrgrund in Mathematics and Public Health.
I am conducting register-based psychiatric epidemiology focusing eating disorders. By shedding light on risk factors, treatment patterns, and consequences, I hope to contribute to earlier identification and intervention and better progneses for people with eating disorders.
I collaborate with with partners in the USA and Sweden, which has made it possible to replicate studies across countries and improve the reliability and applicability of the results.
I am also a member of the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium Eating Disorders Working Group, an internatioal network of reseachers working together to examine the genetics of eating disorders, and of the Danish Society for Eating Disorders, a society for clinicians and researchers.
My primary area of responsibility is epidemiological research focusing on psychiatry and eating disorders, including data management and statistical analysis in Stata and dissemination of research through publications and conferences.
