“Power and democracy in Denmark today: Developments since the first Danish power inquiry”

Professor Nanna Mik-Meyer will visit CBS Library Forum for a talk about how power unfolds in Denmark in 2025.

In her talk, Nanna Mik-Meyer will trace developments from the conclusion of the first Power and Democracy Study at the turn of the millennium to the present, when power is shaped by new societal dynamics such as rising inequality, increasing diversity, centralization, and professionalization.

She will also present findings from a new study on administrative assessment, power, and legal protection in Danish municipalities.

Nanna Mik-Meyer is professor with the Department of Organization and a member of the research leadership the Danish Democracy and Power Study 2.0
