RESBIOS

The overall objective of the RESponsible Research and Innovation Grounding Practices in BIOSciences (RESBIOS) project is to embed Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) practices within four Research Performing Organisations in the field of Biosciences from four European countries through the implementation of a set of RRI Grounding Actions. The Grounding Actions aim at achieving institutional changes in the participating institutions related to the RRI keys, i.e. education, gender, public engagement, ethics, open access, and governance.

The project will promote the establishment of new partnerships between the RRI implementing RPOs and other stakeholders on the basis of the “quadruple helix” model. Finally, the project will contribute to enhance the culture of Responsible Research and Innovation and Open Science in the field of biosciences.

11 European countries are involved in the project, which will create a learning environment where research institutions that are experienced in the RRI area will act as mentors for research institutions that will start implementing RRI actions.

The project is funded by the Horizon 2020 programme.
