To complete the PhD study programme in Social Sciences and Business Amalie Trangbæk will presents her PhD dissertation, giving a public lecture followed by a defence.  

The subject of the lecture is:

On Becoming a Department Secretary in Denmark: Given the multi-dimensional/-faceted nature of the craft that department secretaries are expected to master, what “baggage” (in terms of experiences, competences, and relationships/networks) should we expect applicants for these roles to carry?

The title of the dissertation:

Life at the top. Understanding top bureaucrats’ roles as the link between politics and administration
