Research

I research the significance of sociological causes for citizens' relationship with politics; more specifically, how moral prejudices about the educational choices of the less educated (educational snobbery) – through status hierarchies based on education and the misrecognition that may follow – can reinforce alienation from and criticism of the political elite and ultimately increase support for populist movements.
