Justice and Markets

Academic Conference

  • January 8-10, 2018

Markets are utilized to allocate all sorts of goods. But are there any limits to what should be allocated through markets? And what is the role of the market mechanisms in theories of distributive justice? The conference invites contributions pertaining to the relationship between justice and markets, as well as discussions of markets and justice from a wide range of perspectives.

The conference brings together academics, to present and discuss research related to markets and justice. Given the prominence and importance of justice and markets within different areas of research, contributions from different perspectives, including philosophy, politics and bioethics, are welcome. Presenters will be given one hour to present their work and receive feedback from other participants.
